Precision sharpener for technicians, engineers, architects, artists – for everyone who needs a long, precise pencil point. The separate sharpening of wood and lead guarantees a perfect sharpening result. The automatic stop avoids unnecessary waste.

In step 1, only the wood is sharpened until the lead touches the automatic stop. Further sharpening is not possible.

The free lead has now the right length for phase 2. The lead is now precisely shaped. The automatic stop prevents further sharpening when the final result is achieved.

KUM Blades: All KUM sharpeners are equipped with ultra hard (65 hrc) and razor sharp high carbon steel blades. These blades are harder than ball bearings or any high quality knife. This is needed because pencil leads are made of a mixture of graphite and various types of clay, which are extremely hard. Each blade is razor-sharp. A felt sharpening wheel (similar to leather) is used as the last step in the automatic sharpening process.
