    $6. Buttery smooth

Posted by Ron E on Mar 6 2017

After my normal new pen cleaning- buttery smooth, no skipping. Not the Baoer standard converter , it is a better one than some Baoer converters. This is a $6 pen, keep that in mind. I had 388 tines splay once very quickly. For the money, these are 5 stars.

    Great Pen

Posted by Ryan on Nov 17 2016

I am really impressed with this pen. It came as part of the Big Red November Ipen subscription box. I think you are hard pressed to find another pen of this quality in this price range.

When I got this pen I inked it up with Noodlers Baystate Blue. The nib is smooth and writes very well, I would call it a medium nib. Also there is no close up of the nib under the red one but there are close ups on other models. It is a very elegant looking two tone nib.

The body is heavy and it feels very sturdy. I like to use my pens un-posted and this is a good length un-posted and not very top heavy if used posted. The grip section has some etching and is not slippery.

My only small complaint is that mine had a small defect in the red paint job. This is very small and barely noticeable and trust me the overall quality of this pen more than makes up for the one tiny cosmetic imperfection.

If you are new to fountain pens I would highly recommend this pen if you are looking to try something inexpensive. I believe you will have a good experience with this pen. This would definitely be a great starter pen for yourself or as a gift. I would have no problem giving this pen to anyone.

It is very elegant but subtle and the engraving around the end where the cap meets the body is very nice. Speaking of the cap !!! Probably my favorite feature of this pen is when the cap snaps into place. Wow when this cap sets home you know it. Anyone I have shown the pen to I have snap the cap on. It is one of those little things that just makes me happy. On that note if you have to purchase a gift for a pen clicker this would be a great one I could play with this cap all day.

It comes with a converter which is a huge bonus. Although I must mention that the converter I received with my pen looks different than the one pictured but not in any negative way.

This pen is also very clean, I know some fountain pens can get very messy but I had no ink on the fingers from this little beauty. Some of my pens also end up with a lot of ink on the nib I would call it sweating but I did not have that issue with this one.

I am considering purchasing a couple more just to have on hand because I believe this would make a very nice everyday work horse pen but at a price to where if you loose it you won't have a broken heart.

Sorry if this review is long but I am really impressed with this pen. In closing its a great value for the money. With the holidays coming up I am really thinking about getting a couple more to give away as gifts.

If you get this pen I really hope your experience with it is as good as mine.
